Amy Patton Client Champion / amy@oneluckyguitar.com /
Omniscient OLG web narrator speaks:
When Amy joined our team in May, 2007, it signaled change: we doubled the size of our office space and stopped operating as multiple-hat-wearing mini factories, and started doing what we each do best. Bringing a wealth of industry experience (Matt, Paige and Amy all worked together nearly a decade ago), Amy leapt in with exuberance and a pro-active work style — championing our client partners and serving as an ambassador for the OLG brand. Want more? She's a masterful note-taker and a beacon of preparedness.
Little known fact: In OLG's nascent days, Matt had contracted Amy as he tried to network and build the music side of the company. One of the first calls she sat in on? That would have been conducted on Randallia Drive, at Matt's kitchen table, the first time we ever heard the voice of Mr. Mark Gustafson from Smithsonian Folkways Records — a watershed client for OLG and a partner that, over 250 projects later, is on our own version of Mount Rushmore.
Q & A:
This music/movie/book/person changed my life:
Has to be meeting by husband Travis. I hate to sound mushy but it's true. He's taught me many things over the years but most importantly I learned to appreciate his and other's kindness.
Best menu item in Fort Wayne:
Has got to be the Sea Scallops at Chappell's Coral Grill on Broadway. Be sure to look up Patty and ask her why they aren't serving her white wedding cake anymore (the most delicious cake your palette has ever experienced); I was crushed when I heard it was no longer.
My favorite thing to do is:
Of course, is spend time with my son, Jake. Being a working mom that time is precious. He's grown into a little man over the summer and is nearing 4 which is absolutely crazy! So far this summer he's been keeping busy riding his bike, swimming, playing guitar with his dad, catching bugs, eating watermelon, the list goes on and on and on!
On another note when I can find the time I LOVE cooking and baking, famous for lasagna, peanut butter pie and Hershey's kiss cookies.
Would you have even guessed it?
I'm a chocoholic who is absolutely petrified of spiders. I enjoy all genres of music and even throw in a bit of 107.9 when I'm in the mood, this girl LOVES to dance! A little factoid: I can touch my tongue to my nose, I don't brag about it much but would be up for a challenge.
Thing I like best about the person that sits to my right (Paige Thurston):
She's always got the answer. She doesn't complain that I am constantly interrupting her for something, but instead offers up information with a smile. Best thing is, if she doesn't have an answer at that moment she'll find it within minutes, thanks Paige!
