Omniscient OLG web narrator speaks:

Mr. Jake Sauer brought his illustrative and design genius to Team OLG on 010208, and it's been a tremendous year. Jake's a thoroughbred. He's like Ted Williams in batting practice. Did you park out past the right field wall? Hope you have insurance, because you might have some dents.

Here's the thing, though: Jake knows it's not all about pretty pictures and funky effects. He drills down to the core issues and creative strategy to have a true road map that guides the project's success in his back pocket at all times.

Any design students out there? Jake's doing it textbook, youngsters — you should beg your professor to bring him in for a seminar. That's right, he's working out ideas as thumbnails before he ever turns his computer on, refining and respecting the copy and content, and constantly checking his work for positioning and message. That's what we're all doing here, after all: communicating.

Oh, and he's a heck of a washers player.

Q & A:

This music/movie/book/people changed my life:
Anything by the Ramones, Screeching Weasel's "Thanks for Nothing", The Queers' "Latter Days" and I'd be lying if I didn't say Green Day's "Insomniac"

Best menu item in Fort Wayne:
Gotta love the salad/pasta combo at any of the fine Casa locations. Also, a new rising star in this city is B.B.'s BBQ—located within a Citgo. You're not gonna beat the half-pound o' pulled pork.

My favorite things to do are:
Probably making art for some of my favorite bands (and then seeing them). I enjoy hanging out with friends/family too and if football watching is involved, that's a plus.

Would you have even guessed it?
I believe I haven't cooked anything for like three years.

Thing I like best about the person that sits to my right (Drew Kora):
His clean desk is an example to us all. But seriously, I like that his mind seems to be filled with design experience and inspiration that's all ready to spill onto a layout in some kind of organized fashion.
