Joseph Decuis / (Roanoke IN) Website
Okay. Enough with the fast food, folks. Joseph Decuis, Indiana's finest restaurant, specializes in slow food, where guests are encouraged to enjoy several courses and treat themselves to not a meal, but an experience. One of the strongest brands in northern Indiana, Joseph Decuis has put up one heck of an umbrella and expanded the brand into retail, catering, bed & breakfast, corporate hospitality and even their own signature American Kobe beef. To properly grow all of these entities under the Decuis moniker and brand, the great team in Roanoke called us up. It was a smart call, and we were thrilled to take it. To be honest, they had us at "Prime Beef Sandwich." Since, we've created sub-brand identities, taglines, a massive website (which won Best of Show at the 2008 Addy Awards), broadcast advertising, packaging and collateral materials together. All on target, all consistent, and all an honor to work on.
Iron Max/Lowe's/Berne Apparel / (New Haven IN) Hangtags
For the hard-workin' folks at Berne Apparel, we created the name and identity system for their Lowe's-only brand, Iron Max. This durable gear was christened Iron Max as an allusion to Lowe's origins in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, and features a rugged, bi-lingual design that's as tough as the apparel it proudly identifies.

Vorderman Photography / (Roanoke IN) Portfolio Site
In addition to being a fantastic photographer, Steve Vorderman is just an outstanding guy. We were thrilled to work on his brand re-launch, which started with these very unique business cards. Printed on good ol' French Muscletone black cardstock, which is about twice as thick as your average saltine cracker, these cards are perf'd and break away to form ultra-convenient cropping tools, perfect for looking at Polaroids while on a shoot with Vordo the Great. What can we say — the world fell in love with the identity, and it's been featured in PRINT magazine's Regional Design Annual, HOW magazine's International Design Annual, Collins Design's Business Cards 3: Saying Hello Again book, and won the national Gold Addy for business identity in San Francisco in 2006. Then we launched Steve's website, which, truth be told, is even better than the cards.
Carson Boxberger / (Fort Wayne IN) Ad Campaign
Carson Boxberger is one of the state's oldest and most successful law firms. But just because the firm was founded in 1945 doesn't mean it's old-school and stodgy — in fact, we've found the CB team to be one of the most forward-thinking and exciting champs in the OLG canon. What's more, that's why they called us. It was time to relaunch the Carson Boxberger brand, oh yes. (This was right about the moment our mouths started watering.) We started by spending time at the firm, interviewing the attorneys and finding out the internal brand identity, then analyzed from the outside in. We developed a new logo, tagline and business suite, coordinated Business Expo environment and marketing, launched the website and helped stage the client party for said launch. Bloody marys were drank. Then coffee was drank. And then we launched their first advertising campaign in more than a decade.
J K O'Donnell's Irish Ale House / (Fort Wayne IN) Identity
We worked with our friends at J K O'Donnell's throughout the extended planning and launching stages of downtown Fort Wayne's premier Irish pub. From brand identity, history and lore to website concept and design, our creative partnership with the fine folks at J K O'Donnell's was an inspired and truly rewarding experience. We put our fiery Irish hearts into this work, all the way, and the J K team met us every step of the way. They even put our favorite English pale ale on tap, which was remarkable and funny, especially to one particularly charming man in Australia. Buy us one, we'll tell you all about it.
Berne Apparel / (New Haven IN) 06-08 Apparel Catalogs
Our ongoing relationship with Berne Apparel has resulted in some of the most exciting branding and design in the workwear industry. Our rebranding of their entire line of hangtags and point-of-purchase materials even resulted in Best of Show honors at the 2007 Addy Awrds. We've worked with Berne on the launch of their Ladies, Youth, Outfitters and Contractors lines, as well as several private labels like Country Tuff and Reed's. We handled the robust task of Berne's 88-page product catalog with finesse and organization, and then did it again the next year, and one more time this year. We balanced it with a 30-piece point-of-purchase campaign and, most recently, we've collaborated with the Berne folks to launch headlong into the competitive promotional products industry, with rugged & tough print ads and email campaigns. This is tough gear. Any winter morning, you'll find an OLG'er in their Berne flannel, working tough on shovelin' out that driveway, to make it to work on time, to complete another Berne job, on-time and over the fence.
CBRE/Sturges Development Group / (Fort Wayne IN) Ad Campaign
A few months after we successfully launched the interactive and engaging Sturges Development Group website, the good folks at CB Richard Ellis/Sturges called us up from tight spot. Turns out, we do our best work in a tight spot, and so we put some B12 in the OLG House Blend, went way late and helped pull 'em through — and ended up with a favorite new client. Our ad campaign for the CBRE/Sturges team stays connected to the national CBRE branding, but with a very concept-driven, Midwestern and natural approach. What's best is that our campaign stands true and proud in the cluttered commercial real estate landscape, focusing on core values and a passionate commitment to client success. We balance the big picture with smaller vignette ads that highlight individual broker success stories, keeping tone, look, message and feel all in the pocket. Our clients — we believe in 'em.
Dupont Hospital / (NE Indiana) "The Dupont Difference." (Delivering Miracles) TV campaign
With our good buddies at Lodge Design, we are OLG-Lodge, and we're the agency of record for one of the finest and most storied healthcare providers in the Midwest. Our full-range of work for the LHN team includes broadcast, radio, web, print and, you know, everything else, for Lutheran Hospital, Dupont Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital, RediMed and more. Our relationship has been spirited, positive and on target. You see, more than anything else, we're collaborators and we're believers, and as it turns out, so is the great team we get to work with. What could be more rewarding than that? The honeymoon is still on. Our thanks to the champs at Liechty Media for getting the work in your eyes, under your nose, on the airwaves — soul intact.

Matilda Jane Clothing Co. / (Fort Wayne IN) Business Cards
Look, at OLG we are almost always having fun. And this project was the most fun of all. We worked closely with Denise DeMarchis of la•ti•da fame on design materials for her new line of girls’ clothing. From the exciting product catalog to the last stitch on each and every business card to her new line, Gypsy Blue, it’s been smiles all the way. The reason we do what we do.
The Matilda Jane Clothing Co. was featured in the September 05 HOW Design self-promo annual — the only work from Indiana featured and a real good explanation of why we’ve been receiving resumés by the truckload ever since. But where are the new clients? They don’t read HOW?

Grand Wayne Convention Center / (Fort Wayne IN) Website
We'd been using the contemporary interior design and architecture of the Grand Wayne Center as a photo-shoot locale and backdrop for around a year when our friendships there blossomed at just the right time — coinciding with their planned website relaunch. As supporters of downtown revitalization and proud members of the community we call home, we threw it all in on this site. From the writing to the planning to the design to the finish, we sought to capture the sights, sounds, amenities and ambiance of the Grand Wayne experience in a site that's as useful and content-driven as it is beautiful. Special thanks to the Brumbeloe team for amazing photography, and to the good folks at GWCC for the trust.
The Heart Center Medical Group / (Fort Wayne IN) Red Tape, direct mail
While presenting capital campaign ideas to the board of directors of the American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana — a pitch the two-guy team of OLG won back in the nascent days, by the way — we had no idea that we'd end up getting work from the board themselves. But color us pleased when Joel Sauer, the talented CEO of The Heart Center Medical Group, called us up to brainstorm an entirely new website for the group. We produced the site in record time, and followed it up with loads more marketing: everything from amazingly successful physician recruitment pieces to cardiology symposium marketing materials to a consumer advertising campaign. HCMG is a great client — they love what they do, work hard at it, and smile all the way through. We're inspired.

Brumbeloe Fine Art Photography / (Fort Wayne IN) Portfolio Site
Tim Brumbeloe is quite frankly one of the most talented people we know (and his team is fantastic). Sure, Tim's an amazing commercial photographer, and he's been in one of the most exciting bands in Indiana for years. But that's not why we created this website for him. No, this is to celebrate his fine art — a series of series that he's been creating for the last decade. This site serves as a retrospective on the first decade of Tim's work; we also created a CD-based version that Tim and his team use for PR purposes. Well, it worked: he's been getting calls from coast-to-coast, just finished his first NYC show and has another booked. With subject matter like this, for us, we're just seeing how far we can hit the ball. And let's be honest: we really got ahold of this one.
